Improvement to pistol slide
 

I have come up with a pretty basic idea, that may have already been implemented, it's an improvement to a pistol slide to help prevent certain types of slide jams that I've witnessed.

Ignore the third image.

What I was actually doing, was designing a rugged pistol based on the slide design, no ejector port is shown etc.

The rear part with the pyramidal type shape is part of the underlying frame, the part that mates to it is the slide.

The idea being that with the slide design the pistol would have a much harder time jamming with the slide, even if it had been dropped and the slide slightly bent.

So far just a concept... I don't know quite enough about guns to design them just yet, but it's interesting nonetheless. As such the diagram is still pretty rough.
